Who is Charles Darwin!?
In December 1831, Charles Darwin boarded he HMS Beagle which sailed from England on a journey to explore the South American Coast. During the journey he recorded thousands of observations about the plants and animals he saw. He was amazed at the variety of life not only on the coast but specifically, on a group of islands called the Galapago's Islands. Click on the map below to check out his complete journey and the book he eventually published called On the Origin of Species.

Evolution by definition is the change in inherited characteristics over time. It is the change in all life forms over many generations and can change based on how successful living things are in an environment. A population is unsuccessful if it can not adapt to a changing environment which may lead to extinction. Check out the website below for a interactive timeline of how modern life became the way it is!

Evolution is driven by not just the abiotic factors in the environment but by how animals mate! Students see this all the time in the halls when guys brag about how strong they are or what clothes they wear to impress girls. Animals do the same thing! Try this gameshow like dating game where (from a biological perspective) reproduction is what is all about! http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/sex/mating/
Evolution is a controversial topic in many states as some say there is not enough evidence to support it. Check out these links and describe the in the discussion area how many evidences you found!
